Well! It’s been a bit, but finally I have found the time to blog. It’s a difficult feat to have a day job, run a business and find the time to do this, but thankfully, this amazing thing called a Bank Holiday arrived! So I’ll do my best to update you on all the shenanigans of the past month.

It’s been busy in the Day Job Camp (despite the Easter break), it’s exam season (tis the season to work yo’ socks off!). Amongst the highlights were performances of adaptions of ‘Little Voice’, ‘The Cage Birds’ and ‘Kindertransport’. I also went on a trip to see ‘Matilda’ (un-exam related) which was excellent. It really is very good and I recommend seeing it. I’m not always a great fan of people playing with original books, and diversions from the original story did erk me somewhat, but thanks to the commitment and hard work of the kids working on that show, wow, they actually took my breath away! The adult actors were also extremely good, but you would expect nothing less from them.

The One In Ten camp has been busy, with more to come!
Since my last update, I have designed a logo for a local beautician ‘Pearls’ . Pearls is run by a local lass who works out of her home, and offers a range of treatments and a very reasonable price. She was very happy with the logo which I did in a number of colours for various uses.

I have also had the opportunity to work with some very talented musicians. Early in the month, I was hired to record some professional singers who were debuting a new piece written by Christopher Wood. I loaded up my gear and headed over to St Giles Church, Stoke Poges, a beautiful and historic church. It was such a pleasure to record the very talented David Guest Singers. You can hear an excerpt from the recording which I have very kindly been given permission to put on my soundcloud page. All my soundcloud clips of course can be found without leaving this page! See the ‘Hear Me’ section to you right.

Chris and I also recorded the High Wycombe Music Centre Big Band directed by the award winning Patrick Gazard. The results of this are still to be finished, but we had a great day recording the live performances of these very, very talented young musicians.

So with that I shall leave you! And hopefully, it shall not be too long till I waffle at you again. For interim updates, check out my twitter @chisbabe.

Over and Out.
